What exactly did you wear for your volleyball tryouts ?

Shorts (not jeans)
cotton shirt (like a school promo shirt with short sleeves)
or long sleeve cotton shirt
tube socks (optional)
knee pads
gym shoes (like runnin shoes, non marking)
Hair in pony tail, pin back (or a hair band around it so your bangs wont bother you )

Starting from the bottom up
1) volleyball shoes
2) tube socks aka knee socks
3) two pare of spandex bottom layer cloth top layer stretchy
4) sports bra* really important
5) tank top
6) volleyball shirt with my name on it (lets them know you played before and you love the game)
7) hair up in ponytail with some athletic tape for bangs =)

l wore my schools previous seasons shirt that had 36-0 on it (our record!!) with red spandex, black and white long socks, white kneepads, and red prewrap :) lol

Our tryout were 3 days and l basically just wore my shirts that had volleyballs on them, spandex, tube socks, keepads, and my volleyball shoes. yeah so dont make a big deal out of it..

Just wear Spandex, sock, ankle braces, knee pads, and a shirt (just a short sleeve cotton). and a pair of volleyball shoes. DONT wear running shoes or cross-training shoes. try and find a good volleyball shoe. (asics, mizuno or kappa)

Well, l have not played since high school, but l have a tip for u if u want it!

l coach, & recently had to hold my first tryouts. It is A LOT easier for coaches to recognize & remember u when u wear the same thing during the whole series of tryouts & wear something that will make u stand out.

l had a couple of girls who did that during my tryouts, & l was able to remember them because of it, & remember their skills better than someone who did not stick out. One of them wore a bright pink elastic headband, & one of them wore a bright lime green shirt. If l had to discuss a player with my assistant coach & they could not remember the girls name, l referred to their outfit (pink headband). As opposed to an average player wearing a white shirt just like everyone else.

well, our entire high school girls team wore short spandex and just like a cotton shirt, but apparently we were attracting to much attention from the guys so know we can not wear spankies.

clothes that you wear when excersize.

An appropriate t-shirt, often people wear one that resembles volleyball, or just a jersey from last year.

Shorts that r not too baggy, just like the t-shirt. You move around a lot in volleyball, & u want to wear something that allows u to move freely. Any soccer sort of shorts will be fine, basketball shorts may be too long.

People often prefer to wear court shoes, although running shoes & basketball shoes r fine too, just make sure they're grippy, & not too worn out. Nothing too heavy either (ex. skate shoes, sneakers etc.)

Knee Pads & Ankle Braces r just self preference. If u do end up making the team, do think about purchasing a pair of ankle braces, which could really prevent ur ankle from being badly injured. It could be a difference of being out of a game for 2 weeks, or 2 month.

Well for shoes just use the shoes you would use in a game, and for socks, wear knee high socks, and ankle braces if you have bad ankles, for shorts you should have 2 pairs of spandex one for practice and one for games. So Spandex, and a sports bra, and a tighter fitting shirt that does not bunch up, and a head band. That is about it
