l just sprained my ankle last night jumping to block a spike.Any suggestions for ankle support that is not too restrictive - but provides the support to ensure that l avoid these injuries in the future?Also - I am female if that makes any difference in recommendations.TY!

Active Ankle T2 is the best choice, which l have been using after trying out some other products (since l sprained my ankle while blocking).

From the link you can see two options and two colors (black or white) in each, and ''Cross Trainer'' is definitely more bulky than T2.

There should have no difference between male and female, if there were any concern.

The best ankle support out there is the AXIS or ASO ankle braces. they r great to help & prevent injury. l have worn them for about 10 years & they have saved my ankles MANY times.

do NOT buy ''active ankles'' they have a plate on each side & have two parallel Velcros. is u fall in these, u r liable to injure ur knee or tibia.

the AXIS & ASO ankles lace up & figure8 around ur ankle & have a stability band. it is much like taping ur ankle & is MUCH safer.

injuries are a part of the sport, and ankle sprains are the most common in volleyball. l do not wear ankle braces. They're too restrictive, inefficient and they add a small weigh, which can have some effect.

it is just part of the game.

Either T1 or T2. They are both really good. They are not heavy or restrictive. My whole team had them this year and nobody sprained their ankle. Best support.. definitely. Plus they are not bulky or anything. l definitely suggest them :) Hope this helps!
