l currently play as a setter and l have the choice to move to an outside hitter, which do you think is a better/more important position? Setter or Outside Hitter?

They require different skill sets. If you are good enough for Outside Hitter, then go for it.

Setter definitely. The setter is called 'the quarterback' of the volleyball team. the setter controls how a if the hitters hit. they make everyone else look good. =]

setter cuz u get 2 go more
but 4 outside hitter u get 2 bump and stuff
i would stick with setter cuz u can bump and set

setter touches the ball every other touch to me that has to be a person with skill if the setter has no skill the game is lost.

But l am an outside hitter and l like it better than a setter.

Haha, yeah. l am really short, & l am only 13 so we do not play with laberos, so l am setter. l kind of do not like it, except that u get to handle the ball a lot. l am really good at hitting fo rhow tall l am (5'1''), but it still does not really work for me. l think hitter is way more fun, but I'd do which ever u r better at, or which ever u r better than other people at. (Like l am a better hitter than setter, but l am worse at hitting than others, & better at setting than others).

every position because
if the passer (anybody that the ball comes to) cant pas the ball then the setter cant set the ball and if the setter cant set then the hitter cant hit!
so everything is important

l would say that the setter is the most important position, but not always the most appreciated. l think that outside hitters get most of the glory because they are usually the ones scoring the most points with crazy kills. l personally would chose to hit because l think it is more fun.

well if u think its better for u to change
position u r playing.
or ur team needs a good outside hitter
why not..a setter can do a better & clever
placing over the net than a spiker

l prefer to u to play both cause.. The setter cant
spike in that position & hitter cant pass the ball
like the setter do higher & right to the player.

l am an outside hitter but l play like the setter have a good passing of the ball. For now l am a hitter in the bench cause
the coach didnt gave me the chance to play at the games.
And now which the games r finished, he told me that l am a good hitter & very clever.

a good setter can make a bad team look good.
and a bad setter will ruin everything.
also liberos.. good liberos are like amazing with receiving killer serves.. like on my school is Varsity team their libero saved them sooooo many times, amazingly. what would we do without them.
