Are sand volleyball and indoor volleyball rules different

Sand volleyball is a lot less sloppy than indoor.

The main differences r as follows:
Beach
Block counts as the first team contact.
Hands r called on spin & called very tight on the set or third shot.
Obviously, there r no subs & no Libero.
Play is to 21, switch every 7 points of play & to 15 in the deciding set switching every 5 points of play.

Indoor
The block does not count as one of the three touches.
There is relaxed ball handling on the second contact if the play is athletic in USAV.
Play is to 25 with play in the deciding set to 15, switching when the first team gets to 8.

These r the major differences. There r some minor changes as well. Time outs, sand time outs, etc.
