It is the only attack that l never did perfect.. My setter is good but l guess my timing is my problem, any tips?

The back row attack is not much different than a normal attack. The only difference is a few feet. Just take your normal approach but move back further. If you can attack in the front, you should be able to attack in the back.

You go uo just like you are hitting front row. You do not start your aproach until the ball is at it is peak though.you know like where it is at the highest point. You should get a full approach in and fast if the ball was set at the 10ft line. good luck!

Make sure u start ur approach when the ball is at it is peak. Do not jump early or u wo not contact the ball right. Make sure when u jump, drive ur arms up to give u extra vertical. When u contact the ball, make sure ur arm is fully extended. Snap & follow through (but do not drive the ball too far down) It is most important to snap because the top spin that u put on the ball is what is going to pull the ball down instead of it going out.
It is pretty much like a regular front row attack, but instead of pulling the ball straight down, u want to send it farther back.

Make sure you're keeping the ball in front of you when you're hitting. If you're not getting to fully extend your arm when you're hitting, you will most likely hit the ball up and out instead of down since you're not hitting on the top of the ball. It will also help you to be able to snap your wrist and to put top spin on the ball, which will help you keep it in as well.

l know u said except practice. But that is the key. If u can hit in the front row, u can hit in the back row. You just need to contact the ball a little farther behind. If u were looking at u from the far side of the court, u would be contacting that ball in front of u when u hit front row. (If u were looking from the side & 12 o'clock is straight over ur head, then u would be contacting the ball at 2 o'clock if u r hitting power & u r looking from the off power position.) Hitting from back row, u would be hitting closer to the 12 o'clock position.
You just have to keep working to find the right contact point. If it goes long, it was too far back. If it goes into the net, it was too far forward.
